Later, I called up The Young Couple to take them up on their invitation to visit their restaurant. It was slow due to the rain, which was cool because it allowed us time to hang out and chat. The restaurant itself is a cool place for the late-twenties, primarily straight, professional crowd. The music was loud enough to provide some energy, but not so loud that you couldnt carry on a conversation. They treated me to dinner and wine while we each learned a little more about each other. At times, they would have to leave the table to tend to things, which gave me the opportunity to mentally cast us in a 90210 episode their restaurant representing After Dark, of course. When they returned, I never let on that I had figured out which tables would need to move for a Donna Lewis performance, or where to place the DJ booth.
Were allowed to leave work at 3pm today. More time for the gym, laundry, packing and probably a haircut. OH my Nashville shirt arrived. At first, I was disappointed it doesnt have the coolest cut to it, and the sleeves definitely werent snug. However, I washed it on hot, and dried the hell out of it It shrunk up nicely. The cut still isnt great, but its definitely in the running to worn somewhere besides the living room.
I fly out at 7-something tomorrow in route to Denver. I cant wait.
Happy Thanksgivin.
